IPOKER NETWORK SPLIT IN EFFECT

iPoker has now implemented a fresh strategy which consists of splitting the players into two tiers based on which skin they come from. This move has incited much uncertainty and confusion because there was no notification that was given to the players from iPoker. Now there are two separate player pools that are located at the lower stakes. It has been observed that the players that are from Tier 1 are no longer playing against those people on Tier 2 sites; this means that there has been a complete break. There are more players in Tier 2 and most of these players are often recreational.

There is a new regime that affects the No Limit Hold’em 6 max tables up to $2/$4 and the $1/$2 Full Ring Tables. The Speed Tables are not a part of this breakup. The Heads Up SNGs that have buyins that are over $30 and the 6/9-man SNGs that are over the $10 limit are not affected at all. The promotional, jackpot, and satellite of the SNGs are also not affected by this split.

The names of many of the tables are similar, but there are different players at every table. This has created tons of confusion amongst the players because some of them have not realized that the sites have been separated completely.

There has been no information given by the owner of iPoker, Playtech regarding the changes that have been made. There have been no updates on which rooms each tier will be in. The players have not been informed at all and most of the information about this split has been passed over by affiliates who are not interested in providing such information.

The rooms that are located in the larger liquidity pool (Tier 2) include the Paddy Poker, Titan Poker, William Hill, Poker 770, bet365. Many other rooms have access to the Tier 2, but this may lead to a drop back to the other Tier. This all depends on the success by meeting the iPoker threshold standards at the inspection.

Some of the small rooms have been combined with the bigger rooms before the announcement was made. Celeb Poker and Dracula Poker have decided to join in with Titan Poker. Their collaboration allowed them to close down their branded websites.

The threshold rules have been published and the sign of rate exceeds 850 new players that will join each month. This will allow them to retain active players on a monthly basis that will exceed over 6,000 members. The requirements have not all been published. This is because iPoker wants to protect all the recreational players from the regular players and this will help decrease inter-skin poaching of players.
