POKER STATISTICS & MARKET SHARE
The first chart shows the total amount of online poker players on the networks we have been able to gather statistics from. The numbers are peaking player numbers and does not reflect the monthly average. The sole purpose of this graph is to display the global popularity of online poker.
We can tell online poker has been undergoing a rapid growth in the past 10 years but sadly report a dramatic drop between March & October 2011 of 33% worldwide because of Black Friday.
Chart 1
The graph is based on following the poker network list
TOTAL CURRENT MARKET SHARE
The pie chart shows the market share of the networks we have described in our network section. It is only the top poker networks in the world which operate on the global scene that are shown. They are also known as Dot Com (.com) Networks. This means that the ring fenced networks are not included in this pie chart.
After a quick glance it is easy to tell that PokerStars has an astonishing market share incomparable with any other network.
Chart 2
We thank PokerScout.com for providing statistics from 2006 onwards. The stats prior 2006 are from PokerPulse.com which used to monitor the global poker traffic.
