POKERSTARS STATISTICS

PokerStars is the World's Largest Online Poker Room. Below you can see the impressive graph that shows how and when PokerStars became the most dominant network in the world. PokerStars is currently representing more than 50% of the global poker traffic.

We have dedicated a section about the PokerStars Era which began in the fall of 2006 when PokerStars became the Worlds Largest Poker Room over night. You can also find more details about the network in our PokerStars review

The graph shows that the low period for online poker is the spring from March till July. During the summer when WSOP takes place the numbers picks up and the amount of online players starts to increase. This trend continues during the fall and winter. The same circle has repeated itself the last couple of years.

PokerStars was one of the first networks to mainly focus on online poker tournaments and since October 2006 nobody has been able to rightfully compare themselves to PokerStars. PokerStars has an impeccable reputation and has managed to avoid any major player scandals or memorable software problems since its launch in 2001.

The Italian and especially the French ring fence decreased the size of the network but according to reports from PokerScout PokerStars.fr & PokerStars.it are the 6th and 7th biggest networks in the world so PokerStars still profits tremendously in these countries.

The UIGEA was the single factor that made PokerStars the biggest in the world since they kept accepting US players where the giant Party Poker had to pull out. During the 4.5 years where PokerStars could operate in the US it outgrew all its competitors in all regions.

You can see below (Title:D) that PokerStars lost 36% of its players because of Black Friday however judging from the graph PokerStars are yet again showing growths.
