We do not have many historic events to report from Action Poker Network. Action Poker was one of the first online poker networks but their progress was stopped due to UIGEA in October 2006.
Action Poker offers Chinese Poker which is a very popular game among IRL poker players were you can play for serious money without having to deal with poker chips. It is a game that can be played by two people and in several variations.
Chico Poker Statistics |
In the fall of 2011 the Action Poker Network has been growing with between 25-50% on a monthly basis. We believe this is due to several operators have pulled out of Canada such as International Poker Network & IGT.
Action Poker Network was sold and rebranded as Chico Poker Network in January 2012. ActionPoker.com and & ActionPokerNetwork was not part of the deal.
The new network owners claims that they now accept US players however some of their websites like TigerGaming.com tells us something diffferent.3
Action Poker launched a skin called PayNoRake.com which offers 100% rakeback. You can read an amusing interview which clearly shows how terribly wrong the PayNoRake CEO Ben Johansen was about his predictions. We have seen 100% rakeback several times before it was introduced by PayNoRake.com. It has been introduced in various forms. PayNoRake offered 100% rakeback to players raking over $400 a day. The more you played on a daily basis the more you received the coming day in rake back.
The PayNoRake.com did not take the world by storm. Executives from competing poker rooms found it annoying and misleading. Nobody really seemed to believe this approach in and trying it in November 2008 seemed like a desperate attempt to get free publicity and stir up the waters. Fact is nothing happened which clearly shows on Chico Poker's timeline.
The regular skins do not offer rake back. Action Poker's own rake back poker room PayNoRake offers between 50-100%. The more you rake the more money you earn. If you rake more than $400 per day you get 100% rake back.
