PARBET SOLD TO CRYPTOLOGIC
Date | January 2007 |
Price | €9,000,0001 |
Assets | Parbet |
Buyer | |
Status | Closed. Merged with InterPoker |
Software | No |
Success |
Parbet was sold to the software provider Cryptologic via its wholly-owned subsidiary Wagerlogic in January 2007. Parbet was mainly a Swedish poker room on the now closed Cryptologic network.
Parbet was mainly known in the Scandinavian region and the purchase did not have any impact on the global poker scene.
The Parbet brand merged with Inter Poker in June 20112 which is the main poker brand owned by Cryptologic.
The Cryptologic Poker Network is closed and has moved all its licenses to the International Poker Network where Inter Poker currently has home (July 2012).
The sale can not have been a great success nor a major failure for Cryptolic given the price and nature of the deal. Whether Cryptologic have recouped the €9,000,000 is unknown to us but we doubt it.
